What a busy weekend. Even though we had a long weekend it sure didn't feel like it. We were out every day.
On Saturday, Shawn and I headed out for a beautiful outdoor wedding. The bride and groom, Shirley and Robin, both work with Shawn. They got married in a park in a gazebo. The day was perfect, it wasn't stifling hot and it didn't rain (the most important thing in an outdoor wedding). We then headed to the hall for a wonderful reception. Shawn was out there on the dance floor like a dirty shirt. It was actually pretty entertaining.

Jenn and Jeremy...I think I know who's wedding is next.
Another one of Shawn and I in case you forgot what we look like (I had to crop this picture because it showed a bit more cleavage than I'm comfortable with, no wardrobe malfunctions though, it was after all a family event).
On Sunday, Shawn and I went to the CNE, a local annual fair, with our friends Natasha and Deepesh. We went to see the airshow, which included lots of fighter planes. The little boy in Shawn came out. He was very excited by all the fighter planes, especially the ones that turned on a dime and looked like they were just floating in the air. It was such a cool sight! I would post some of the pictures but our camera doesn't have one of those paparazzi lenses so the planes look like little dots. We of course gorged ourselves on everything we shouldn't have (mmm...mini donuts). I was exhausted by the end of the day from all the walking around we did. But did that stop us oh no...
On Monday we went to visit Nicole and Tim, ok not really, we went to meet Zubin! What an adorable little baby! Even though the poor little guy was feeling a bit under the weather, he was such a good baby! He's such a laid back little guy, he sure ended up with the right parents! We also got a chance to meet Nicole's mom, the proud grandma. She reminded me so much of my mom, the way she doted on the little guy, I had to do a double take at times. We left early to avoid the the Labour Day traffic and issues at the border which we did (surprisingly). What a great way to end the weekend.
