Happy New Year!

Another year has come and gone. One thing I can tell you is that I'm happy to kick 2007 to the curb. It was a tough year for us for a few reasons. This was the first year that I've not had my mom with me. I have no words to express how much I miss her. My sister also moved two time zones and three provinces away. Another tough pill to swallow. The job situation is not getting any better either. And then there's the adoption or lack thereof.

However, 2007 did have it's highlights. We (as in Shawn) renovated our powder room, we went to Las Vegas and Calgary, and most importantly, we got to meet the other half of them and the rest of them. We got to meet them too and they brought them from the other side of the border. We were finally able to meet them after a few failed attempts. I'm glad we were able to get to know them, them, her and her. Meeting them has given me hope that there might be an end to this crazy journey we're all on. We were lucky to meet them all the way from Shawn's home town too. We tried to meet them but they were here when we were there. We're both so very grateful for all of you because honestly, you've all kept us sane.

2008 is just a few hours away now. I am looking forward to it. We have some big plans and big changes for 2008, can't share them just yet as we are still in the planning stages. Hopefully we'll be able to share soon (unfortunately, it's not a referral). We're still excited nonetheless.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, healthy and Happy New Year with many happy new beginnings. I look forward to the year ahead, and hopefully the opportunity to meet many more bloggy friends.
