HELP!

Is there anybody out there in blogland who lives close by me that knows how to sew? If you're out there, can I ask for some sewing lessons? Here is my issue. I am all of 5 feet nothing, which means everything I buy is very long. Even the stuff in the petite section. Taking things in to get hemmed up is getting very expensive so I think I need to learn how to do this.

When my mom was alive, she would hem up my pants and skirts for me. One of the many things I took for granted.

If someone can help, I would really appreciate it!

I don't know how to sew, but if you find someone, I'd love to come and watch. I'm also 5 feet (as you know) -- everything's too big!!
Good luck -- I'm sure you'll find someone

I would like to attend the lessons too. I can sew, but in a very limited capacity...

Funny that I haven't been around blogland in forever and then I come here and read about something I just started doing again - SEWING!!!

I'm a shortie too and I know your pain... Well, rather than fly all the way up there, here's a little something that I'm SURE will help you out!

Be sure to post pics of your finished work!

I could show you...but I am not close by!

Do you think before the next dinner, they would mind me throwing sewing machine on the table?

I have a machine(handed down to me)and I can't even thread it. LOL
I am so pathetic, sad. LOL
I too am 5 ft nothin' and it would be nice to be able to hem, don't need to be a Martha on the machine.
Good luck, you'll be giving lessons soon. :O)

Well, I'd do just about anything to meet you. But I don't live nearby and I can't sew. So, that makes me the worst choice for this job : )

Sorry I'm not closer. I'm actually not too bad at hemming (unless it has a cuff). It's a sucky job that I hate doing, but also being of a "smaller" persuasion I don't have much of a choice!

Hey Dolores! Guess what!! I sew and I just got my machine tuned up. I say we get together over the holidays and give it a go. I'm no Martha Stewart, but I've been known to sew a seam or two.

Happy LID Anniversary a little late - Congratulations on making it to the one year wait!
