Why I love this little boy. Here are some snips of our conversations with him.
Lucas: (To Shawn) You smell funny.
Shawn: I do?
Lucas: Yeah, you smell like a potato.
Lucas: Can we get a slushie?
Me: The problem is we don't have a key to get back into the house and I don't have your stroller. What will happen if you get tired walking to the store?
Lucas: Okay, here's the deal, we go get a slushie, leave the door open and if I get tired, you can carry me. (Did I mention this kid weighs over 40 pounds?)
After Jazz jumped up on the couch and started purring,
Lucas: I think the kitty cat is tooting.
Me: (Laughing hysterically) No, she's just purring. That means she's happy.
Lucas: No, I think she's tooting.
When we first arrived,
Me: I'm going to help Uncle Shawn with the suitcases.
Lucas: NOOOOOO! Don't go and leave me forever.
I wonder what the next few weeks have in store for us.
