Our Furry Baby

I can't believe in all this time I have not mentioned our furry baby. Jazz is our pet cat. We're not sure how old she is as she found us, not the other way around. She's been with us since 1994. I've had her longer than I've known Shawn. According to the vet, she's at least 13-14 years old and she's a tortie. She likes to hunt and bring us presents (which is really nasty sometimes). She's black with red highlights and one white paw. I believe that Jazz thinks she's a human being, which would explain her presence at the dinner table. She loves to play with bouncing balls even though she gets tired a lot quicker than she use to.

And now with adoption news, we got an email from Children's Bridge telling us that our documents have gone off for translation and notorization. They said that could take 4-5 weeks. Hopefully it won't be that long. Hopefully...

Jazz is very sweet! I'm sure that she would get along famously with one our cats (Bear) but our other one would simply rip her to shreds. We have social issues here at our house. Sigh...
As for the translation timeframe, I wouldn't bet on it taking as long as they are telling you. Our approval as sent for translation on July 14 and we were DTC on July 28. I think that they give longer timeframes to cover themselves in the event that something takes a little longer. Here's to hoping that you will be DTC in two weeks!
