Last night we went out to celebrate my best friend's birthday Latila, even though today is her official birthday. Latila and I have been friends for about 17 years now, that's longer than I've known Shawn. We've seen each other through a lot, graduations, first jobs, new loves and lost loves, our weddings, the birth of her beautiful daughter and now our adoption. We've managed to survive Latila moving to Australia, Minnesota, California and finally moving back home. I don't know what I would've done without her after my mom passed away. Latila was over almost everyday making sure we were eating and the house wasn't falling apart. After Shawn, she was my rock. I am very blessed to have her in my life and I know our daughter will be very lucky to have her Auntie Latila around.

Happy Birthday Latila!

Best friends are very important and especially best girlfriends. My best friend and I have known one another for 20 years and I, too, wouldn't know how to live without her.
