Train woes

I have stated before that winter is not my favourite time of year. If I could hibernate between November and March I would. Either that or go to Barbados for the winter, I'm good either way. Well yesterday morning, being a Monday, getting out of bed on a cold winter day was not the easiest thing, but I managed to do it.

On the raido I heard that the commuter trains were running late but did not hear that my line was running late so I didn't worry about it too much. It seems that when the weather gets cold, they're always delayed. I got to the station and my train was on time. Everything was fine then at one of the stops I heard the magical words "We're having mechanical trouble. We have the engineer working on it and hope to move quickly." Great. Then I hear "The train is not going to Union, please catch the next train which will be on the other side of the platform." Double great. The kicker, "The next train is running late." The next train was 40 minutes late! I couldn't feel my toes by the time it finally rolled in. I was almost an hour late for work. Not a good way to start the week.

When I got in though, my friend Vicki, who is our office manager gave me two squishes, you'll find them here. She couldn't decide which one to pick so she picked both! Thank you so much! Today we got two more, one from Shandra and the other from Cyndi from our October 2006 DTC Yahoo group. We are slowly but surely getting there.

What a crappy day!! I am glad you got some squares to 'counteract' the train experience!!

Everytime I hear about delays now, I think of you!
