Whew!

I finally have a real chance to sit down and take care of business. On Friday, Lisa came over and we went out for lunch to Turtle Jack's which is just down the street from here. It was great seeing Lisa again as always. We talked about our adoption progress or lack thereof, work, families, and so on. I love getting together with my bloggy friends, even if it's only for a couple of hours. It's always nice to go out with people who get it.

On Saturday night, Shawn and I went out to dinner with Nicole and Tim, Rhonda and Josh, and Nicole's friends, Kim and Don who are expecting to travel to the Ukraine to pick up their little boy this summer. We went to a little restaurant called Ming Teh which is located right at the border in Fort Erie. The food was amazing! We will definitely be going back. For a full play by play, go to Rhonda's blog. I think she missed her calling as a minute taker. Nicole got us the cutest little bib for our peanut, I started laughing when I saw it. We also got the cutest onesie from Nicole in the mail. Thank you very much! It was very thoughtful of you.

On Sunday morning, we woke up early to go strawberry picking. I have the best guy, not too many would be willing to go with their wife to go pick fruit on one of the hottest days of the year. I think we picked up about 5 pounds of fresh strawberries and their almost all gone now. They're so good! Before we left, I gave Shawn a present for Father's Day. Even though we don't have our peanut yet, I know she's growing in our hearts and he deserved to be recognized for that. I made him a tshirt and it was quite the hit where ever we went.

Michelle invited also us over for a BBQ. She had Doris' husband Dan over as he was in town for work. Rather than have him spend Father's Day on his own, Michelle invited him over so he would have some company. This was the first time Shawn and I were meeting Dan so we were very excited about it and of course sad that Doris couldn't join us. It was quite funny because as we were talking to Dan, he and Shawn found out that they went to a couple of the same schools and could possibly have even passed each other in the halls and didn't even know it. Very small world. I can see why Doris is so crazy about Dan, he's a great person, a very caring and kind person. You can tell that he loves Doris very much by how much he was always mentioning her. It was very sweet. Michelle made the best burgers with corn and potato salad on the side. Then for dessert we had ice cream sundaes. YUMMY! It was a great afternoon. Michelle's sister Tracey came over so she was able to take this picture for us.

We then rushed over to Shelley and Harold's to finish the day there. It was nice to be able to see them as well as Jay, Vivienne and David.

There's more to the weekend, but that will be a post for another day.
