I believe!

I have seen a new world and I am now a believer, let me further explain. On Saturday, Shawn and I made our way to meet K1 and K2 and Rhonda and Josh for an evening of limitless sushi. I'm not the most adventurous in the world when it comes to food so sushi has never been high on my list of must eat foods. But it's something that Shawn really enjoys. Shawn was so excited he didn't eat anything just in case it took up precious sushi room in his belly.

We were the last to arrive as we arrived a few minutes late because of some really bad traffic in our neck of the woods. We promptly ordered and out came the sushi boat! I've never seen one like that before so I was quite impressed. I then tentatively tried a piece that was recommended by K1 and what a surprise, I really liked it! I was very excited over the fact that I was able to partake with the rest of the group.

After our fill of sushi, we went to the best dessert place in the entire world! Caffe Demetre's. I ordered my usual, "A Sweetcar named Devour", a ball of chocolate ice cream wrapped in a crepe, with strawberries and whip cream. The only thing I checked in the menu was to make sure that it was still there. Shawn asked me if I wanted to share a dessert, I don't understand why he would think I would. I don't share desserts with anyone. We had great conversation throughout the entire night, not just adoption related stuff, life stuff too.

After a few hours at the second restaurant, the servers came over and started clearing our tables. We took it as our cue to leave. What a great evening with great friends!

Remind you to join you all for dessert when the time comes to finally meet. I will SKIP that sushi part (gag) ;0)

At least the good friends make up for ingesting raw fish.

We have a rule at our house , one bite if you don't like it you don't have to eat it. You have to try it.
Glad you tried it, even better you enjoyed it!!
Dessert sounded over the top, yummy!

It was such a nice evening, Dolores! I love that we are getting to know one another on such an authentic level.
P.S. If you are brave enough to go for sushi with Shawn...it was the sweet potato tempura roll that you enjoyed. :)

Um, even with your enthusiastic endorsement I'm still not eating sushi. The dessert however sounds amazing! I'll take two please!

No matter how hard I try I just cannot handle sushi! It feels like the wrap sticks to my throat and end up emulating a cat coughing up a furball!! UUUULLLLLLCCCCCCKKKKK!
Desert now is another story!
