My New Enemy

I've been on my trainer pretty much everyday for the past three weeks. I've also started doing crunches and weight/resistance training. I hang out in my basement for about an hour everyday to accomplish my goal. I'm also trying to eat better (no more Coke). For all this effort you would think that I would be down at least 5-10 pounds right? WRONG! I went on the scale this morning and I've only lost 1 freakin' pound! I don't think my scale is working properly. At least that's what I'm telling myself. But I will continue, because it's one pound less than I had three weeks ago.

Dolores,
Don't get discouraged, my friend. Your body is building muscle as well, so you cannot really go by the scales. Scales are evil creations anyway. Just go by your moos, your energy levels, etc. and know that your are definitely doing your body good by increasing your endurance. :)

You just have to keep up with it. eventually, things will change and your body will realize the good you are doing for it.

Please don't quit! I have been going at it for what seems like forever, but trust me, if it goes slowly, you will keep it off! Just ignore your old scale and trust your body- it's loving it, and soon you'll be loving it too! I'm with you!

PS_ Thanks for commenting on my blog! Nice to "meet" you! :-)

Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are losing fat and gaining muscle you are not going to see the results on the scale. You'll see the results in how you feel and how your clothes fit. Good for you!!
