We are foster dog failures. This weekend Shawn took Sparky to a local adopt a thon held at one of the local doggy daycares. Several animal rescues were there with dogs and cats in need of a furever home. I decided to stay home with Jinx since it was the entire day.
Needless to say Sparky attracted a lot of attention. She's such a pretty dog and has such a sweet demeanor, it wasn't long before there were several applications to adopt her. Well, as soon as I heard that it was like someone threw cold water on me. I realized how much I don't want her to go anywhere.
When Shawn got home he told me how difficult it was to see other people want to take her home. Then I started crying because I couldn't imgaine how we could give her away. In a few short weeks she has become part of our family. So we have decided...to keep her, hence we are foster dog failures.
So now I would like to introduce you to Poppy, the dog formally known as Sparky. We had to choose a name that is similar to Sparky since she responds to that name fairly quickly.
Our little family is starting to grow again.

It means your are successes with big hearts!
If that's considered a failure, I don't want to be successful! You are AWESOME!!
P.S. Poppy needs to be in your header. ;)
Not a failure! Just a doggy lover! Congrats on the new addition to your family! I am sure Jinx is super excited!
I totally get it. Congratulations on your new addition!!
If you're going to be a 'failure' at something, this is the way to do it!
Congrats on your new home Poppy! You're gonna love it...as you already know!
Welcome Poppy! She is lovely and you did what you heart told you to do: definitely not a failure!
What Kathy said.
Awwww...congratulations! I wouldn't want to let her go either. She is a beauty.
If having a huge heart, sweet soul and love for fur babies, is a failure, then you are the biggest!
Congrats!!
I've been wondering if she'd end up as part of your family and my hunch was right. Congratulations to your new addition!
