In the past year:
- I've lost my mom and Auntie Belle
- I discovered our wait time could be triple what I originally thought it would be
- Shawn was in a major car accident and walked away with only a couple of scratches
- Mark went to Afghanistan and returned home safely
- I went to New York City
- I learned that the worst situations don't always bring out the best in people
- I've also learned that sometimes you get the best surprises where you least expect it
- I learned that I can deal with the worst pain ever and still wake up in the morning
- I've met some of the most amazing people because of this blog
